Probably the hardest commission I've ever done - an all female party including a dwarf and 2 companions... add to this the limited color palette of the Underdark (in my head) and you're in trouble. It did turn out better then I expected, though. I hope you guys also like it. Description below:
Lin is a mal-adjusted young lady loves her short bow and not much else. As a child she would go out and shoot at just about anything for fun. Try as they might, her family could not entice her towards any other vocation, and it soon became clear that she would need training or someone was going to get hurt (possibly Lin, but more likely an innocent bystander). Thus, Lin was forced into training as a scout, so at the very least she would learn to hit what she was shooting at.
The bow itself is made of a dark, springy metal. This is an Underdark campaign and there are no trees or tree-products readily available. Lin wears simple leather armor and a leather warrior's skirt. She also sports a silver torc around her neck and an intricate platinum fillet (circlet) adorns her brow. She of course has a quiver and arrows to go with her bow.
Raena summons and controls fiendish creatures and longs to one day become demonic herself. She is the oldest in the party, being of the wizardly and book-learning sort. She has the most experience and the most caution. She frequently summons a giant, fiendish scorpion to attack for her. She has a dog-sized and docile spider, the sort with furry legs, that wears saddle bags to carry her spell components and adventuring gear.
The companions are her most important accessories, in addition to a leather-bound spellbook. The spellbook is kept in a holster at her side with a strap across her chest. Raena wears a spiked collar, silk coat (the sort with sleeves, not a cape or cloak), silk chemise and silk gloves, a long silk skirt, and knee-high leather boots. She does have a component pouch at her waist as well.
Vier is a tiefling with decidedly drow heritage. She has the dark skin, red eyes, light hair, and pointy ears that mark her as one of the dark elves. However, she also has sensually curving horns and a long skinny tail that ends in a spade. When she is not "on the clock" doing sneaky rogue stuff, Vier is a very vocal and moxious young lady. Despite racial prejudices, she may end up being the leader of this party.
She wears black bodysuit of studded leather armor and has a magically enhanced rapier at her side. Vier does not dual wield, but as any good rogue should, keeps spare knives and daggers in her boots and up her sleeves. Her boots are cloth, designed to soften her footfalls as much as possible. For dealing with ranged threats she carries a small, compact crossbow and bandoleer of bolts.
Felaurum is the only non-drow in the party and like most dwarves a very serious and practical sort. She does not worship the typical god of the Duergar, Laduguer, but instead Dumathoin - diety of mining and underground exploration, protector of the dwarven dead. His emblem is a faceted gem inside a mountain, which adorns many articles of her clothing. Traveling with Felaurum is a freshwater alligator named Boots, who is a good friend of the dwarf, although not trained for any particular purpose or task.
She wears full plate armor adorned with spikes, including a matched spiked heavy shield. In her main hand she carries a morningstar. Dumathoin's emblem appears on the front of her shield, the business end of her morningstar, a broach which keeps her cloak on, and the cover of her book of holy rites for the dead. Her cloak is a dark reddish-brown with green embroidery and lining. Felaurum has a portable keg at her side and wears a significant amount of jewelry with semi-precious stones.
